What this tool checks
- HTTPS — whether the site is served over a secure connection
- HTTP redirect — whether plain HTTP requests are redirected to HTTPS
- Response time — how fast the server responds (under 2 seconds is ideal)
- Status code — whether the server returns a healthy 2xx response
- robots.txt — whether it exists and does not accidentally block Googlebot
- XML sitemap — whether a sitemap is discoverable at /sitemap.xml or in robots.txt
- Title tag — whether it is present and the right length (30–60 characters)
- Meta description — whether it is present and the right length (100–160 characters)
- Canonical tag — whether a canonical URL is declared to avoid duplicate content

How scores are calculated
Each check is worth 10 points. A full pass earns 10, a warning earns 5, and a fail earns 0. Scores of 80 or above are Healthy, 60–79 are Needs Work, and below 60 are Poor. Use this as a quick triage — the full audit goes deeper on every signal.
